Does Crate work with Stripe?

Yes. Stripe is the payment rail Crate uses for the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Canada. You connect your own Stripe account, the money settles into that account on Stripe's own payout schedule, and Crate never holds it. A successful payment marks the order paid, moves the stock and appears in the same order list as every other order. A refund is issued from the Crate order rather than from a second dashboard, and it goes back through Stripe to the card that paid. Your Stripe fees are set and charged by Stripe, and Crate adds no percentage of its own on top of them. Connecting the account is Settings, then Payments, then Stripe.

Setting it up

Four steps, from a phone, in about ten minutes.

Create or sign in to your Stripe account.
In Crate, open Settings, then Payments, then Stripe.
Connect the account and finish Stripe's own checks.
Place a small test order and refund it to confirm both directions.

Your Stripe fees are set by Stripe and charged by Stripe. Crate does not add a percentage on top of them. Which payment methods you can offer depends on what Stripe has activated for your account, and Crate shows the ones that are active rather than the ones that might be.
