Classes, memberships and the shelf, on one system.
A fitness business sells three different things in the same week: a place in a class, a membership that renews, and whatever sits on the shelf behind the desk. All three can run on one catalog, one customer record and one set of payouts.
Crate is used by Health and fitness businesses to sell from one catalogue across their own online store, Instagram, WhatsApp and the counter. A Health and fitness business on Crate lists each product once, with its variants, its photos, its stock and its price in the merchant's own currency, USD or NGN, and every channel then sells that same record. Orders from all of those channels arrive in one Crate queue and stock is drawn down once, so a sale in a chat cannot oversell what is on the shelf. Crate takes the payment methods of the merchant's own market, USSD and pay on delivery included where they apply, and pays out to the business's own bank account. Crate is run from a phone.
The situation this is built for
Where you are now
None of this is unusual. It is what selling in more than one place looks like before there is one system underneath it.
1
The class is booked but not paid for
The place is held on somebody's word and the no-shows cost you a session you could not sell to anybody else. Taking the payment at the point of booking is what turns a name on a list into a place that is actually sold, and the money is matched to the booking.
2
Renewals are chased by hand every month
You go through the list, work out who is due, send the messages and then handle the ones who ignore them, which is a week spent on admin rather than on training anybody. A membership that renews on its own gives that week back and stops revenue depending on your memory.
3
The shelf lives in a different till
Supplements and kit are rung up somewhere that knows nothing about the memberships, so the revenue never adds up in one place and you cannot tell which side of the business is carrying the other. One catalog and one set of reports put both in the same numbers.

Made for your trade
Built for the way a fitness business sells.
The same platform underneath, told in the language of your trade. Here is what matters most for the way you sell, all from one dashboard.
Bookings that are paid. A place in a class is sold like any other product, so the payment arrives with the booking rather than after it.
Memberships that renew. Recurring plans bill on their own schedule, so the month starts without a list of people to chase.
One customer, three kinds of sale. The class, the membership and the protein tub all sit on the same customer record, so you can see what a member is actually worth.

1Sell
Sell everywhere
Sell a place in a class, a membership and the products on the shelf from the same catalog, on your store, in chat and at the front desk.
2Manage
Manage it all
Bookings, renewals and counter sales land in one queue against one customer record, so the front desk and the reports are looking at the same thing.
3Get paid
Get paid
Take card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer for a class, a renewal or a tub off the shelf. Automatic payouts to your bank.
Members ask about the timetable on social and book in the messages, and they buy at the desk on the way out. One catalog covers all three, so a place in a class is sold once and the shelf count is right whichever way it moved.
Yes. A class place is a product with its own price, and the customer pays by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer at the moment they book. The payment is matched to the booking automatically, so a place on the list is a place that has been paid for rather than one held on a promise.
Do memberships renew on their own?
Yes. A membership is sold as a subscription and bills again on its own schedule, so you are not going through the list every month working out who is due. Each renewal lands on the same customer record as the rest of that member's history.
Can I sell supplements and kit as well?
Yes. Stock sits in the same catalog as your classes and memberships, with its own counts and low-stock alerts, and it sells from the store, from social and at the front desk. The revenue shows up in the same reports as everything else you sell.
Do I need a separate system for the desk?
No. The desk runs on the same products, prices and stock as the rest of the business. Take card, transfer or cash, split a payment, hold a sale and come back to it, refund against a past sale in person, and close the shift with a report by staff member.
Can I sell a block of ten classes?
Yes. A block of sessions is its own product at its own price, and a pass that should renew can be sold as a subscription instead. Both sit on the same customer record as the member's bookings, so you can see what somebody has bought and what they have used.
Can I see who has not been in lately?
Yes. Customers are grouped for you into new, repeat, high spenders and the ones you have not seen in a while, so the lapsed members are a list rather than a feeling. Each record carries the full history and what that person has spent in US dollars.
Still have a question?
Every answer above was written by the people who build crate. If yours is not among them, the Help Center goes deeper, and a person reads what you send.
